A Little About Our Providers
Dr. Matt A. Thompson was raised in Spokane and attended medical school at the University of Washington. His pediatric training was at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Thompson is also serving as the Medical Director at Joya Child and Family Development (formerly known as the Guild School) here in Spokane. He has successfully raised six children, with his youngest graduating from high school in 2024.

Dr. Jon J. Lee was raised in Wisconsin and attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin. His pediatrics training was at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is the proud dad of two sons.

Whitney was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and moved to Spokane in 2022, where she has been practicing in Pediatric Primary Care. She graduated as an RN in 2014, then as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She attended graduate school at Carson-Newman University. She loves all ages, from newborn to adolescent. She loves baking, reading and traveling.

Dr. Carlson has moved to Portland, Oregon, as of July 1, 2026. If you happen to relocate to the Portland area as well, she will be practicing in the Lake Oswego area starting in November at Olson Pediatrics.
